Established in 1994, My Redeemer School has grown from a modest beginning with just five students and two teachers to a leading educational institution in Accra, Ghana, with over 400 students and 30 dedicated staff members. Rooted in Christian values, we are committed to nurturing academic excellence, personal growth, and leadership development in every child.

Mr. Jonas Wontumi

Mr. Jonas Nii Wontumi serves as the Strategic Governor of My Redeemer School, bringing with him a distinguished background in education leadership and governance. With a career that spans both the private sector and the British education system, he is known for his clarity of vision, integrity, and ability to drive long-term success through thoughtful, future-focused planning.
In his capacity as Governor, Mr. Wontumi provides high-level oversight and strategic direction, helping to shape the school's policies, vision, and growth trajectory. While he is not involved in the day-to-day operations, his influence is both foundational and forward-looking ensuring that My Redeemer School remains anchored in strong values while adapting to the evolving demands of education in the 21st century.
Mr. Wontumi’s governance focuses on maintaining high standards in school leadership, academic excellence, and institutional sustainability. He works closely with the school’s executive team to set priorities, evaluate impact, and chart a course that supports continuous improvement and innovation.
With years of experience working within British schools, he brings a global perspective to school development, balancing structure with flexibility, tradition with progress.

My Redeemer School which has in it's vision to be Ghana's most innovative and quality education partner continues to make strides in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E). Our candidate's performance for the past fourteen years of writing the Basic Education Certificate Examination has been commendable.
It must be put on record that the candidate's achievement in English Language and Mathematics has been phenomenal. It is a blessing that about hundred percent of the candidates always have their first-choice schools. The school continues to improve on its performance in teaching and learning by identifying slow and below average learners and supporting them through remediation. This is to make learning a habit for our pupils rather than a burden.
We also continue to add the face lift of the school by reshaping our school compound, a Modern facility to fulfill the current need of our children and this does not only assist our students only in B.E.C.E but perform very good in their various senior high schools which makes us very proud as a school. Most of them always come back to show appreciation.
The place of the Parent Teachers Association (P.T.A) in the school cannot be left out as the association has furnished the classrooms with modern furniture. It is my sincere hope and prayer that with all the innovations and structures that have been put in place, and ongoing, the able administration with the entire staff will continue to lift high the name of My Redeemer School in lives of our great students.
